A short note to you about each child's week. One tap to stop it.

No ads

Ever. Nothing is sold to your child, and nothing about them is sold.

A child's week on Study Hub

  1. 1

A short lesson, written for their grade in words they can read, with a worked example from a Kenyan kitchen or shamba — never a wall of text.

  2. 2

A quiz of six, marked on the spot, with a line that says why the right answer is right.

  3. 3

A check-up that finds what they already know, so the plan starts where they are, not at page one.

  4. 4

The Friday note to you — what each child worked on, what came easily and what to encourage. No logins needed to read it.

Children never need their own email or password. One parent account, a profile for each child, a PIN that keeps the parent pages yours.

Founding Families

We are opening Study Hub to every family this holiday. The families who join first carry it furthest, so they get the most.

No card is needed to join. Nothing is charged until passes begin in January, and then only when you choose one.

And a promise that comes before any price: Study Hub will stay within reach of every family. Where a family cannot pay, a partner, a donor or a friend will — so no child is turned away.

Why a parent can trust it

Nothing reaches a child unread

Every lesson and every question is checked and approved by a person before it is published. What a child sees has been read.

Checked again every night

An examiner reads the library each night and raises anything doubtful for a person to decide. A question in doubt is taken off until it is settled.

Your family's data stays yours

A plain-words privacy policy, a parent PIN, your consent for each child, and one button that deletes everything. No ads, nothing sold.

Made in Nairobi for the CBC

Built from the KICD curriculum designs, strand by strand, not adapted from somewhere else. Kiswahili is a first language here, not a translation.

Works on the phone you have

Light pages that load on a slow connection. No app to install, nothing to update.

You can always see what they see

Open any lesson your child opened. The Friday note tells you where to look.

Questions parents ask

Study Hub is a learning website built in Nairobi for Kenya's Competency-Based Curriculum, Grades 3 to 9: short lessons, six-question quizzes, a check-up that finds what a child already knows, and a Friday note to the parent. Every lesson and question is read by a person before a child sees it. It works on an ordinary phone and carries no ads. It is built to hold any country's curriculum the same way — Kenya first, then every child beyond it.

What grades does Study Hub cover?

Grade 3 to Grade 9 — the whole of upper primary and junior school on Kenya's Competency-Based Curriculum, with every learning area the CBC asks for in each grade.

Is it the Kenyan CBC, or adapted from somewhere else?

It is built from the KICD curriculum designs, strand by strand and sub-strand by sub-strand. The topics a child sees are the topics their school teaches, in the same order and with the same names.

Who checks the lessons and questions?

A person reads and approves every lesson and every quiz question before it is published, and an examiner re-reads the library every night and raises anything doubtful for a person to decide. Nothing reaches a child unread.

Does it work on an ordinary phone?

Yes. It is a website, not an app to install, and its pages are light enough for a slow connection and a small screen. One parent account holds a profile for each child; children never need their own email or password.

What does it cost?

Nothing during the holiday. Families who join before 1 December are Founding Families: free until Term 2 begins in April 2027, then a founding discount for their first year. Families who join in December are free until Term 1 opens in January. No card is needed to join, and nothing is charged before a parent chooses a pass. Where a family cannot pay, a partner, a donor or a friend will — no child is turned away.

Is my child's data safe?

There are no ads and nothing is sold. A parent PIN keeps the parent pages private, each child is added with your consent, the privacy policy is in plain words, and one button deletes the whole family's data. The Friday note to you can be switched off with one tap.

Is Study Hub in Kiswahili as well as English?

Yes. Kiswahili is a subject with its own lessons and quizzes in every grade, written in Kiswahili — not translated from English — and Kiswahili read-aloud is coming over the holiday.

Can a school use it?

Yes. A school can send its parents a holiday letter with a code, so its families are counted as the school's, and a school plan for Term 1 is being prepared. Write to us and one conversation sets it up.

How does a parent know how their child is doing?

Every Friday you receive a short email about each child's week — what they worked on, what came easily and what to encourage — with no login needed. You can also open any lesson your child opened.

Our story

I built this for three children at my kitchen table. It turned out there were a few million more.

Why Study Hub exists, the one rule it is built around, and the three things its founder refused to build. Read our story →

Coming over the holiday

Said honestly, so you know what is here today and what is on its way.

  • Read-aloud lessons in English and Kiswahili
  • Catch-up plans built from the check-up
  • Ask Twiga — a safe question-and-answer helper
  • Passes and payments (January)
  • School seats and class views (Term 1)

For teachers

We are contracting CBC teachers this holiday to review and write content — paid, from home, against the curriculum designs. Your subject, your grade, your judgement.
